Gaza – Ma'an

The Ministry of Health in Gaza warned on Saturday of a catastrophic famine and deadly massacres near U.S. aid distribution points, describing them as “death traps” that threaten the lives of thousands in the Gaza Strip.

In an official statement, the Ministry confirmed that Gaza is experiencing a real famine, marked by a severe shortage of essential food supplies and a widespread outbreak of acute malnutrition, amid a total lack of medical resources to treat the consequences of this crisis.

Medical teams have reported a significant rise in deaths caused by hunger and malnutrition, the statement added.

The Ministry also noted that Nasser Medical Complex received 32 martyrs and dozens of injuries since dawn today, following an Israeli massacre targeting civilians at U.S. aid distribution points in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Ministry issued a grave warning of an unprecedented health and humanitarian catastrophe if the international silence continues. It called on the international community, UN agencies, and human rights organizations to act urgently and effectively to halt the massacres and to open humanitarian corridors for the safe and consistent delivery of food, medicine, and fuel.
