Gaza – Ma’an – The Israeli army has revealed the creation of a new military corridor in the Gaza Strip aimed at separating eastern Khan Younis from its western part.
According to a statement released by the Israeli military, the 36th Division has been operating in the Khan Younis area in recent weeks. During this time, the 188th Armored Brigade and the Golani Infantry Brigade completed the opening of the so-called "Magen Oz Corridor," which effectively splits the city from east to west.
The corridor reportedly stretches for approximately 15 kilometers and is described as a central element in intensifying pressure on Hamas and aiming to “decisively defeat” the Khan Younis Brigade, as stated in the military’s announcement.
The Israeli forces further claimed they had killed dozens of fighters and discovered and destroyed infrastructure, including weapons depots and underground tunnel routes.
